Zion Mennonite Church

Zion Mennonite Church offers a variety of activities for children with the goal of partnering with their families in nurturing them to know, love, and follow Jesus. This is a wonderful privilege and a significant responsibility as we pass our faith on to the next generation. We are committed to creating ministry settings that will be a safe haven for all children filled with lots of love and acceptance.

Sunday School
Sunday School includes classes for children age two through grade 8. Sunday School from 8:45 - 9:45 am every Sunday morning. Designated teachers for each class lead children in the discovery of biblical truths and the application of those truths to their lives. These discovery and application activities are designed for the developmental uniqueness of each age group. The church also provides Sunday School classes for youth and adults during the same period.

Children's Church
Children's church meets during the worship service every Sunday. After separating into age-appropriate groups ranging from 2 years old to 5th grade, the children spend time learning and growing in their relationships with God through Bible study, stories, crafts, sharing and praying together.

Nursery Care
Childcare is provided for infants up to two years during both the Sunday School hour (8:45 - 9:45 am) and the worship service (10:00 am).

Family Night
Family nights are held September-May, the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. A meal is provided by our Kitchen Committee from 6:00 - 6:45 pm. Children's classes are available for all age groups from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. These children’s sessions include hearing about God’s love for us, discovering virtues that God wants in our lives, hands-on learning, special guests, memorizing God’s word, and other fun activities. There are also activities for Jr. and Sr. Youth, as well as adults.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer, usually in July, our church opens its doors for one week of learning and growing the knowledge of God and His Word. Children three years old through grade eight enjoy great worship, singing, stories, activities, and challenges that make the Bible real in their lives. This is a high energy week with lots of hands-on participation. Some years, our Vacation Bible School ministry includes interaction with people of all ages—children, youth, and adults.
